loool, i found the char
I'm really blind..
Yes, this crappy forum software can't cope with non-ASCII.
It shows the broken-bar symbol on altgr+7. What does that produce?
the keyboardlayout shows this char on this place, but if you press ALTGR + 1 the Char (Line with a break in the middle) appears.
(when I enter it, the board is not accepting the submission
> I have Swiss keyboard layout
That diagram shows | as altgr+1. What does that do?
I have Swiss keyboard layout:
I have added a new button with an image that enters me that code, working fine allready.
But it would be cool if ALT is working for so called ALT codes:
So that it works like Alt on Putty as example.
I will change the programming for me to get alt working like this.
Thanks, for me solved
> A feature request could be a shortcut list
You can add this to the ctrl key menu if you want. It should be fairly obvious how to do that.
> I dont have a key for the char: |
Very strange. What sort of keyboard is that?
> Where is the ALT listener?
Everything is in anyterm.js. You'll find various references to alt if you search. But fundamentally, ALT is not being handled how you want. The code is trying to be a traditional terminal (e.g. the Linux console, or a vt100, or something of that sort) where ALT+x sends ESC followed by x. The ALT+number thing you're trying to do is a Microsoft invention that, as far as I know, doesn't work on any traditional terminals.
You might be able to make it work by disabling all of the current ALT key handling. Then maybe Anyterm will just see the | symbol in one event after everything else has been entered. Or maybe not.
> Can I debug me own why its doing this?
Of course, you have the source. You'll find some commented-out alerts in anyterm.js that report the events that it gets from the browser.
> Do I need to use 'make' all time I change something on the js?
In the normal configuration, yes.
A feature request could be a shortcut list where the user can manually edit in a config or something..
There They can addd things like:
"ps aux | grep " and so on, that they only need to complete and finish its posted.
Then my problem is solved too
I dont have a key for the char: |
Copy Paste is working, but frustrating
When i press ALT down and hold, pres then 1 it appears on the screen:
at the end it shows (ALT 124) when i release, there are 100 times the correct char
So i think the release ALT functions which enters the char needs to be checked.
Where is the ALT listener?
Can I debug me own why its doing this?
Do I need to use 'make' all time I change something on the js?
> All alt Numpad codes will be entered multiple times.
Ooops. Not sure why that is. I don't have a Windows computer for testing. If anyone else is able to debug this, that would be great.
> Is there an other was to create that | char
Don't you have a key for it?
Presumably you could copy/paste it.
When i Press [ALT] and on the numblock say 124 and release ALT, he writes the right code: | but multiple times (~100 times).
All alt Numpad codes will be entered multiple times.
Is there an other was to create that | char on anyterm, without to delete 99 chars?
Thanks a lot.
